I just received the warning that Microsoft would attempt to register it within one day so I entered the key again and this time they accepted it. The first time I attempted to register the software with the key on the label it was refused as invalid. I then loaded the iso to a dvd and it did read that. As it turns out, the usb ports were not functioning.

When I first tried to install it from usb with Paul's assistance it would not boot from the usb drive. There is no way I'd turn down assistance from anyone.Īs a matter of fact, Win7 iso did install and run after several tries. I know it certainly looks like I simply neglected to respond but that was not the case at all. I'm sorry vmpresta, I didn't see your post until just now (11/23). This machine is done before I can bring the mouse back to the Windows Start button. One thing that's impressive, I'm used to having a 9 year old Windows XP box that takes over a minute and a half to boot. I have tried Intel to get the correct drivers but since there isn't anything wrong with the 32 bit drivers, I can't even download the correct drivers.Īnd I still have to call Microsoft to sort out the key on this machine. I checked for the addition of a bus for additional ports and it looks stock, no extras. The 2.0 driver loaded but it would not recognize any thing using the port. I even tried DriverToolKit to update the drivers but it also saw them as working properly.
